NMotion Accelerator Celebrates 10 Years of Supporting Startups

NMotion, an accelerator program founded in 2013 by NUtech Ventures, has reached a significant milestone by celebrating its 10th anniversary. The program has played a pivotal role in fostering the startup ecosystem, primarily in Nebraska and Cyprus, over the past decade.

Decade of Support for Entrepreneurs

Since its inception, NMotion has supported 94 companies through its 12-week accelerator program. This initiative provides an opportunity for up to six companies at a time to refine their business models and accelerate their growth. Notably, 80% of the participants have continued to operate within Nebraska, highlighting the program's impact on the local economy.

In addition to its work in Nebraska, NMotion has supported 111 startups since it began, including initiatives that encourage innovation and cooperation among entrepreneurs in Cyprus. This work has strengthened the bicommunal spirit and showcased Cyprus' entrepreneurial talent on a global stage.

Program Evolution and Strategic Shifts

Under the leadership of Managing Principal Scott Henderson, NMotion has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of startups. Initially coordinated by Brian Ardinger, the first cohort set the stage for what would become a robust platform for entrepreneurial development.

Recently, NMotion has announced a strategic shift in its program offerings. While the Venture Studio, which assists in turning ideas into viable businesses, will pause its cohort in 2024, NMotion plans to focus on two Growth Accelerator cohorts instead. These cohorts are scheduled to start on February 21 and August 21, 2024, respectively. Applications for the Fall 2025 cohort are due by August 17.

Gener8tor Partnership and Global Reach

Backed by gener8tor, a network with accelerators in 41 cities worldwide, NMotion benefits from a broad support system. Gener8tor, which has helped approximately 1,300 startups since 2012, provides a valuable framework and resources that enhance NMotion's capabilities. This partnership has allowed NMotion to expand its reach and impact, not only locally but also internationally.

The latest cohort includes five new companies, and NMotion continues to organize intensive bootcamps and mentoring sessions to aid in developing effective business strategies. These efforts aim to prepare startups for the challenges of scaling and sustaining their operations.
