The 2025 RealLIST Startups has named 74 companies, highlighting trends in artificial intelligence, social impact, and environmental innovation. These insights are drawn from startups located in the mid-Atlantic region and span categories such as software, healthtech, greentech, and biotech.

Increasing Adoption of AI

The data reveals that a significant number of these startups are incorporating artificial intelligence into their operations, with more companies utilizing AI than those who are not. This trend underscores a broader shift towards automation and intelligent systems across various industries. The data also indicates that a significant portion of these startups operate with small teams. Out of the 74 companies, 29 have between 0 to 2 employees, and 51 have 5 or fewer employees.
